Sade's new song for Steve McQueen's upcoming heist film, Widows, has finally arrived.
The legendary band has shared the lyric video for the dramatic, slow-burning new track on their YouTube page. Check it out above.
The single was first announced in August, and will reportedly be played during the film's end credits. A score by Hans Zimmer, as well as cuts from Nina Simone and The Cool Kids will also be featured on the soundtrack, which is due out on November 16, the film's release day. CD copies of the soundtrack will be out November 30, and vinyl copies, via Milan Records, on December 28.
The Oscar-winning director said in a statement that "it was an honor to work with such a legend," referring to Sade. "Sade is an incomparable talent and incredible artist who so rarely releases new material, but luckily the original series of Widows had deeply resonated with her.
The single is Sade's second release of the year, following "Flower of the Universe" off the soundtrack to Ava DuVernay's 2018 adaptation of A Wrinkle In Time.
Viola Davis, Michelle Rodriguez, Daniel Kaluuya, Brian Tyree Henry, Colin Farrell, and more will star in the film. You can catch it in theaters on November 16.
