Though Kanye West was rumored to be in talks to headline this year's Coachella festival, TMZ now reports that negotiations have collapsed over a dispute over stage sizing. West allegedly refused to perform on the Coachella Stage (where headlining acts traditionally perform) because the 60x40 foot stage is "artistically limiting."

In his stead, the site reports that festival organizer Goldenvoice (which also produces festivals such as Panorama, Firefly and Camp Flog Gnaw) is looking into Rihanna, Childish Gambino and Justin Timberlake for potential headlining slots. The full lineup is due out soon— the 2018 roster was unveiled on this day last year.
