If you're familiar with Chicago footwork then you must know the legendary production collective, Teklife. The crew could be considered keepers of the genre in Chicago and the world, founded by footwork pioneer DJ Rashad and now kept alive by its current disciples. DJ Taye is one, and today's FADER mix comes courtesy of him. It's a half hour of frenetic and charged up footwork infused hip-hop and electronic. It features some iconic Teklife flips — like DJ Rashad and DJ Spinn's transcendent Kanye "On Sight" remix. Other selections come from DJ Taye and fellow collective member DJ Paypal's most recent project, Computers Smarter Than People. It's footwork for the people.
