Geto Boys member Bushwick Bill is undergoing intensive chemotherapy after being diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, TMZ reports. The 52-year-old rapper, born Richard Stephen Shaw, was diagnosed in February. He told TMZ that he doesn't know how his body will repond to the treatment and that his diagnosis came as a surprise after initially being told by doctors that tests on a mass on his pancreas had come back as benign.

In a video clip on TMZ Bill says that he is working on three new albums, as well as a documentary as a means of raising money for his family when he dies. "When most celebrities pass they don't have a lot for their children," he said. "At least they'll have residual income from those things, rather than just knowing that I'm their dad."

Geto Boys’ DJ Ready Red died in 2018 following a reported heart attack.
