Mac DeMarco’s animated “Here Comes The Cowboy” video is brilliant and freaky

Mac DeMarco's music video for "Here Comes The Cowboy" is the Canadian singer-songwriter's second video of the week after the clip for "On The Square." Like those live-action visuals, the new animated clip from Cole Kush features bizarre creatures, an unorthodox performer, and a strong undercurrent of disillusionment with the ritual of entertainment. Kush's visuals feature a variety of bizarre human-ish cryptids occupying the peak unsettling position on the uncanny valley with their slow expressions and sinister grins.
