Toronto-based MC Sydanie has spent much of the summer so far popping up at festivals across Canada, but recently dropped her debut visuals for the single, "I Want U 2 See This", which serves as the first single from her upcoming project Eclectic Circus slated for late July. The Meeka McLean-directed video starts out dreamy and sees the artist rap, dance and travel through the city before finding herself in a hazy jam.
"It's supposed to be me dancing with masculine and feminine energies and they sync up at the party," Sydanie said of the video's concept. McLean described the video as an energy shift from light to dark and back again, represented mainly by spaces and colors. "She walks into what appears to be the room she started in, and realizes it's still bright but has colors and shapes," she explains. "The things she was intimidated by before are gone."
