Cashmere Cat announces new album Princess Catgirl

Norwegian producer Cashmere Cat will release new album Princess Catgirl on September 20 via Mad Love/ Interscope. The album announcement is accompanied by a video for new song "Emotions" starring Once Upon A Time... In Hollywood actress Margaret Qualley. Check it out above.

Qualley, who has also appeared in Fosse/Verdon and The Leftovers, plays the role of Princess Catgirl in the video. Princess Catgirl is described in a statement as Cashmere Cat's new companion and the public face of his music.

“She’s very cute and powerful,” the producer is quoted as saying about the character. “I’ve always been shy—since the beginning of being an artist I would hide my face, not want to do interviews, hide behind other artists. I guess you could say I was scared. So I created Princess Catgirl to be the face of my music. She makes me feel safe.”

Princess Catgirl is Cashmere Cat's second studio album. His debut, 9, was released in 2017 and featured vocal contributions from The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, and Ty Dolla $ign. He is a regular collaborator of pop producer Benny Blanco and has a credit on Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes's current hit ""Señorita."
