Dave Chappelle hosted a benefit concert in Dayton, Ohio on Sunday to honor victims of the mass shooting in the city earlier this month, which left left nine dead and 27 injured. The line-up for the block party was kept a surprise, with ticket-holders treated to performances from Stevie Wonder, Chance The Rapper, Thundercat, Teyana Taylor, and Talib Kweli. Comedy came from Chappelle, plus Jon Stewart and Chris Rock. You can see clips from the day below.

“The best way we can honor our fallen is by getting up better than we were before,” Chappelle said while speaking to the crowd, according to the Dayton Daily News. “We won’t let those people die in vain. We’re not just doing this for our city, we’re doing this for every victim of every mass shooting in our country.”

Earlier on Sunday Chappelle attended Kanye West's Sunday Service in Dayton. Chappelle's new stand-up special Sticks & Stones is on Netflix from today (August 16).
