Taylor Swift’s Lover debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200

Swift breaks her own record with the biggest album sales week since her own Reputation.

Taylor Swift’s <i>Lover</i> debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200

Unsurprisingly, Taylor Swift's latest album Lover raced to the top of the album charts, debuting in the top slot on the Billboard 200 with 867,000 equivalent album units, according to Billboard. Of that number, a whopping 679,000 were in pure album sales and marks the sixth number 1 album for the star. So far, critics have lauded the album for its strong songwriting and evidence of a more evolved Swift.

This also marks the biggest sales week for any album since Swift's own Reputation in 2017, a record she broke just a day after Lover's release.
