Grow up, Kevin Hart.

If you thought that that Kevin Hart might have learned his lesson by now, you'd be dead wrong. Yesterday, the comedian appeared on the season premiere of HBO's The Shop, in conversation with Lil Nas X (among others). At some point in the discussion, Lil Nas X is asked about making an "announcement" amid his early success, to which Hart uncomfortably cuts in, "He said he was gay, so what?" Hart continues to interject as Lil Nas X explains how he grew up to "hate that shit."

"Come on now. If you really from the hood, you know," Lil Nas X tells Hart in the exchange. Hart very well should know about culturally ingrained homophobia at this point, especially considering his history of and bits about his fear of having a gay son. Late last year, after a number of hateful tweets surfaced, containing homophobic slurs and jokes about AIDS, Hart was asked to apologize ahead of his gig hosting the Oscars. He chose to step down rather than offer remorse: “I chose to pass on the apology," Hart said. "The reason why I passed is because I’ve addressed this several times."

Maybe Ellen will come to his defense again, but in the mean time, watch the clip from The Shop below.
