Fiona Apple has had an extremely public week, giving her first in-depth interview in a long while to New York Magazine's Rachel Handler and, in the process, saying she'll probably have a new record coming out in 2020. In that interview, she discusses the fact that Panic! At The Disco's Brendon Urie wanted to sample a song of hers and, when denied, called her a bitch in an interview.
Now, Apple has uploaded a vlog of sorts to the fan tumblr Fiona Apple Rocks — run by a friend of hers — in which she states that Handler forgot to mention that Lil Nas X sampled her song without permission on 2018's Naserati track "Kim Jong." “You sampled [“Every Single Night”] too,” she states in the to-camera video, “And, um, hey! Where’s my money, you cute little guy? Where’s my money?” As Pitchfork points out, Naserati is not available to stream, so Lil Nas X may not have made any money from the song. Watch the video below.
