Tyler, The Creator claims to be on American Airlines no fly terrorist list

AA deny Tyler’s claim, say no such list exists.

Tyler, The Creator is no stranger to a ban and on Thursday morning he claimed that he was on a "no fly terrorist" list for American Airlines.

The tweet carried no additional information and comes amid a period when Tyler's bans from performing in both the U.K. and New Zealand have recently been overturned.

However, when reached for comment by The FADER, American Airlines denied Tyler's claim. "American does not have a terrorism watch list. That list is controlled by the FBI," a spokesperson said. "But since Tyler, The Creator, is flying with us today and is currently on one of our flights, the tweet is not accurate."

Tyler recently performed in London for the first time since being banned by the British home office in 2015. Earlier this month a University of South Alabama student was charged with making terroristic threats after writing Tyler lyrics on a library flip chart.
