WiFiGawd is one of the most exciting underground artists coming out of the DMV right now, known for his consistency and the ability to sound weightless over menacing production. The rising DC rapper is coming off the release of two projects, Underworld Order Vol. 1, and Return of Da Big Dawg, to drop a video for “Karl Kani,” a track off the latter. In the video we see WiFi situated in lavish locations, whether that’s on the hood of a Ferrari or the National Gallery of Art. The lone verse on the track serves to emphasize a soulful hook that falls nicely on a stringed instrumental, which would not feel out of place if heard at the Kennedy Center. “It’s called Karl Kani because he’s one of my favorite designers and the way the song sounds just reminds me of capsule pieces from him. Super lavish shit is what I be on,” WiFi told The FADER over email. You can take a look at the full video above.
