Tory Lanez took to Instagram to announce the release for his highly anticipated project Chixtape 5, sharing it will be out sometime in November. Lanez posted a clip that featured parts of the early Apple commercials, a match for the project's OG iPod aesthetic.
To go along with the release, Lanez also curated a playlist of songs that served as the project's inspiration called the "Chixlist." "PROUD TO FINALLY ANNOUNCE .... CHIXTAPE 5 ...... NOVEMBER 2019 !!! It’s officially #ChixtapeSeason," he said in the post's caption. "GOTO CHIXTAPE.COM FOR THE “CHIXLIST” a playlist I personally curated of songs that inspired the SAMPLES & VIBE for#CHIXTAPE5."
Earlier this year, the rapper shared snippets of the project on Instagram Live, featuring flips of popular R&B records from the early aughts including T-Pain’s “I’m Sprung,” Trey Songz’ “Can’t Help But Wait,” and Fabolous’ “Trade It All.”
