The cover of XXXTENTACION's latest posthumous single “HEARTEATER” features a new image of Geneva Ayala, the woman who went public in 2018 with allegations of abuse against the rapper. Speaking to the New Miami Times last year, Ayala claimed that he verbally and physically abused her — beating and choking her, holding her head under water, holding knives to her face, and more — while pregnant. The photo depicts Ayala eating a bloody heart, supposedly in line with XXXTENTACION’s wishes for the song’s release.
"HEARTEATER" is supposedly taken from the rapper’s upcoming record Bad Vibes Forever. The song follows a series of posthumous singles by the rapper released this year, including “RUN IT BACK!” featuring Craig Xen; “Royalty” featuring Ky-Mani Marley, Stefflon Don, and Vybz Kartel; and “#PROUDCATOWNERREMIX” featuring Rico Nasty. Listen to "HEARTEATER" and see the song's cover art below.
XXXTENTACION was murdered last year in a drive-by shooting in Miami. Since his death, the rapper’s prominence has grown, with his single “Sad!” reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the week after his death. After his death, recordings were released of the rapper confessing to committing domestic abuse, and describing an incident in which he stabbed nine people.
