Noname says she has a new album on the way

“I don’t really talk about my music much on here but I’m dropping an album 2020 if anybody’s interested”

On Monday night, Chicago(-via-LA) rapper Noname announced a forthcoming album that should arrive next year. “I don’t really talk about my music much on here,” she tweeted, “but I’m dropping an album 2020 if anybody’s interested.” The album comes after last year’s jazz-inflected Room 25, and just days since she appeared on The Daily Show, where she spoke to Trevor Noah about her book club that seeks to “highlight progressive work from writers of Color and writers within the LGBTQ community.” Last month, she and her Ghetto Sage collaborators Saba and Smino dropped their group’s first single “Häagen Dazs.” Noname also put out two loosie singles earlier this year, “Room 31” and “Room 32.”
