Rap metal enfant terrible and self-proclaimed “Anti-IconGhostemane is bringing the album cycle for his wildly popular 2018 record N/O/I/S/E to a close, but he’s not going out without a bang. Today, the DIY veteran is releasing a dark, surreal video for N/O/I/S/E highlight “Bonesaw,” a sparse, two-minute assault of undulating buzzsaw synths and his trademark guttural cadences. Befitting such a track, the “Bonesaw” video is demented and transfixing: inspired by the Lithuanian festival Ta Terjast, in which people wear masks and “chase away” winter, the “Bonesaw” video paints a hazy vision of a post-apocalyptic future where the earth is raw and rotting, and the few remaining humans are desperate to survive. Watch “Bonesaw” above.
