Statute of Limitations, the Pete Rock-produced collaborative EP between Benny The Butcher and Smoke DZA, was one of 2019’s hidden gems. Today, The FADER is premiering a video for EP highlight “By Any Means,” which features the two rappers doing what they do best: mugging for the camera, butting into each others’ lines, and rapping about how they run New York. It’s a simple, but compelling, few minutes. “Me and Benny the tag team champs,” Smoke tells The FADER via email, “And we just giving y’all that NY feel for the 2020.” Benny adds: “Me and DZA are brothers, anytime we on a track we just showing our lyrical dominance.” Watch “By Any Means” above.
