Pop Smoke was arrested at JFK International Airport on Friday morning on a federal charge of interstate transport of a stolen Rolls-Royce. An arraignment has been set for Friday afternoon at the Brooklyn Federal Court.

According to TMZ, the New York rapper met with the vehicle's owner in Los Angeles months ago, who agreed to loan out the car for Pop Smoke's video shoot in exchange for VIP tickets to an upcoming show. When the car wasn't immediately returned after the shoot, the owner used GPS data which tracked the vehicle to Arizona — at which point it was flagged as stolen. The Rolls-Royce later appeared in a since-deleted photo on Pop Smoke's Instagram account, which was location tagged in New York.

The FADER has reached out to Pop Smoke's representative for further comment.
