One of the few convenient things for rappers doing a press tour is that it can serve as an opportunity to shoot a music video in between stops to radio stations, magazine, basically all the places that prove you're on top. Key Glock revisits the format in the "1997" video after serving a similarly styled clip in 2018 with "Big Glock." Both videos are shot in New York City, though "1997" has even more high fashion, diamonds, and one very fancy car interior. The song, a brash declaration of dominance-since-birth with a very appealing King Crimson-y beat, appears on Key Glock's Yellow Tape album, which dropped last week.
