If you've been following what's been coming out of the global afrobeats scene over the past five years, then Juls is a name you're most likely familiar with. The Ghanaian-British producer, DJ, and artist has been one of the best at bridging musical gaps between the most promising acts throughout the African continent (mostly in West Africa) and the U.K.. At his best, Juls is engineering romance — injecting sweet elements of jazz into some of his most impactful work. That streak continues in 2020 with "Soweto Blues," Juls' first official release of the year, which features South African star Busiswa and South London's Jaz Karis.

Today, the song's video is being premiered on The FADER and its stunning visuals match perfectly with the track. In it, Juls explores the wonders of Soweto, one of South Africa's most famed townships. “My trip to Johannesburg has been very special. It’s added a whole new perspective of how I view things now both career wise and personally," Juls said in an email. "The energy is amazing, the people are lovely and I’ve found a second home — especially the vibrancy of Soweto. Jaz Karis is singing a love song, which is symbolic of my new love of Soweto and I’m honoured to have worked with Busiswa whom I have been a fan of for a long time”. Watch the video above.
