A.G. Cook to release 49-track album 7G

The mammoth project includes covers of songs by The Strokes and Taylor Swift among many others.

A. G. Cook, head of PC Music and one of Charli XCX's key collaborators, has announced details of a new 49-track album to be released next month. 7G is due on August 12 via PC Music and includes a raft of cover versions plus guest vocals from Caroline Polachek, Tommy Cash, and Hannah Diamond among others.

The epic album is split into seven chapters, each one dedicated to a different discipline (Guitar, Spoken Word, Piano etc). In addition to original material from Cook will be his take on indie rock staples The Strokes ("The End Has No End") and Blur ("Beetlebum") plus Sia's "Chandelier" and Taylor Swift song "The Best Day."
