The Paul Institute, the label/collective started by producer extraordinaires and siblings Jai and A.K. Paul, has shared its debut EP Paul Institute – Summer 2020. The project was announced yesterday and comes on the heels of this morning's premiere of the Apple Music radio show Paul Institute: Magical Thinking.

Five of the six new songs are brand new, and they're each very splendid in their own way (A.K. Paul's "Be Honest" premiered in July, and it's also fantastic). Jai Paul doesn't have a song of his own, but he is credited as the co-producer of Fabiana Palladino's "Waiting," a shreddy cyberpunk rendition of 1999-era Prince. The EP contains the debut of Pen Pals, the new Paul Institute artist promised in yesterday's release to be revealed with today's radio show and EP. Their track "Dynasty" closes out the EP, and it's a neat summary of the slinky, neon-prismatic vibe that is the Paul Institute sound. Listen to the full EP below.
