Neoclassical doom two-piece Divide and Dissolve have announced that their new album Gas Lit will be released in early-2021 by Invada Records, the record label co-founded by Portishead’s Geoff Barrow. Produced by Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s Ruban Nielson, Gas Lit is the follow-up to 2018’s sophomore record Abomination and the band’s 2017 debut Basic, and follows this year’s TFW 7”, an entry in Saddle Creek’s Document Series.

Alongside the announcement, the band — comprised of saxophonist and guitarist Takiaya Reed and drummer Sylvie Nehill — have released “We Are Really Worried About You,” the album’s first single, as well as a video directed by Sepand Mashiahof and Chi Chi Castillo. “‘We Are Really Worried About You’ is a call to transformation and freedom. This song and video seek to undermine and destroy the white supremacist colonial framework,” Divide and Dissolve say of the song. “We are weaving together our fight for Indigenous Sovereignty, Black and Indigenous Liberation, Water, Earth, and Indigenous land given back. Decolonise now.”
