Beverly Hills police have denied media reports that Offset was arrested on Saturday though Almanzar, 20, was detained on charges of carrying a concealed, loaded firearm in public. He was released on bail of $35,000.

The whole incident played out on social media, with Offset streaming the police questioning him on Instagram Live. The footage shows the rapper being forcibly removed from his car after refusing to exit the vehicle when asked by officers. AP News reports that police were informed of a passerby who claimed a person pointed a weapon at him from a vehicle, which patrol units stopped and investigated.

Cardi B was not in the vehicle when it was stopped but turned up soon after. Footage shared online by onlookers shows her shouting at police officers: "That's my husband! Why are you pointing a gun at him?"
