Earlier this month, Midwest dream-rock outfit Slow Pulp delivered their impressive debut album Moveys, a project that tends to its emotional treachery with resilience and plenty of reverb. One of its most important moments comes four songs deep on "Track," in which vocalist Emily Massey comes face-to-face with inherited health-related family trauma.

"I'd had a conversation recently with my mom about Alzheimer’s," Massey told Apple Music, of the song. "She has a big fear of getting it. It’s a super genetically based disease, and she has some memory issues sometimes... The song kind of turned into this reassurance for mom that if she does get it, no matter what happens, I’m not going anywhere, my family is not going anywhere. We’ll love her no matter what, even if it’s hard, even if it’s difficult."

Today, the band is sharing a gorgeous video for "Track," which plucks up its animated protagonist and places her into a choreographed wonderland where everything serves a purpose. Just as the song itself, it's an intensely reassuring experience. Check out the Corrinne James-directed clip below.
