Koreless is the alias of Welsh electronic music producer Lewis Roberts. Since debuting in 2011, Koreless has shared EPs, singles, and been a reliably fire remixer for artists like Caribou, Perfume Genius, and Foals. On July 9, Koreless will finally share his debut album Agor via Young, and today shares the stuttery, anxious single "Joy Squad." Hear it above in the trippy lyric video co-directed by Mau Morgo and Koreless.
Agor (which is the Welsh word for "open") was recorded over a period of five years. "Some of the tracks on this album have been through hundreds of iterations," Roberts said in a statement. "Getting from the start to the end of the track is such a twisted journey for me. I’m talking about spending 15 hours a day, seven days a week over a period of years.”
