Gorillaz have confirmed details of Song Machine Live From Kong, a live film that will screen in cinemas and movie theaters across the globe for one day only. The live performance was captured at the virtual group's Kong Studios in London and comes with a behind the scenes featurette with unseen interview footage and commentary from Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett. Screenings will be held on December 8 with tickets available now. Check out the trailer below.
In 2020 Gorillaz released Song Machine, Season One: Strange Timez, an album filled with collaborations with an eclectic range of artists including Robert Smith, Schoolboy Q, Slowthai, and Fatoumata Diawara. "Special guests" are promised as part of Song Machine Live From Kong though final names have not been revealed.
