Jamaican dancehall star Popcaan has expertly furthered his global fame by working with celebrated artists the world across. His previous collaborators include Young Thug and Jamie xx, Gorillaz, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and French Montana. But his most fruitful creative partnership has been with notable dancehall obsessive and cultural capitalist Drake.

"Skeleton Cartier," out today, doesn't feature any Drizzy bars but is out on the rapper's label, OVO Sound, and will feature in his upcoming Nike X OCTA shoe campaign. It's also the first single from from Great Is He, whilch will follow 2020's FIXTAPE as Pop's sixth studio album, release date TBA.

The new song is a straightforward celebration of wealth, set to a lush, glossy beat by English producer FaNaTix. "Skeleton Cartier / Tell dem seh mi richer dan last year / Fresh Louis V, fresh Nike Air," Pop sings, name-checking brands at an impressive clip.

“This song is about how I was feeling after I ordered myself a Skeleton Cartier watch for my birthday,” he says. “This was possible because I put in the work. The aim is always to be richer — in more ways than one!”
