Fresh off the "Return of the Curse of Timeland" concert — a three-hour marathon set in Melbourne, Australia to compensate for the COVID cancellation of their New Years Eve 2021 Timeland Festival — King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard have announced a new record. Omnium Gatherum, release date TBA, will be the group's 20th studio album and, somehow, their first double LP. The news comes with the album's epic 18-minute lead single, "The Dripping Tap."

The new song starts off as a slow, lo-fi blues, but this phase doesn't last long. 70 seconds in, the band is in full Gizz mode, jamming relentlessly for the remaining quarter hour plus. The white-knuckling thrill ride will take up the record's entire A1 side, setting the stage for another high-octane psych freakout from the insanely prolific Aussie sextet.
