A previously unreleased Queen song called "Face It Alone" will be released in September. The track was recorded for the band's 1989 album Miracle, Queen's second-to-last album before the band's frontman Freddie Mercury died from AIDS complications in 1991.

Brian May and Roger Taylor, two of the English rock band's founding members, revealed the news during a BBC Radio 2 interview with Zoe Bell. "It was kind of hiding in plain sight," May said. "We looked at it many times and thought, 'Oh no, we can't really rescue that.' But in fact, we went in there again and our wonderful engineering team went, 'Okay, we can do this and this.' It's like kind of stitching bits together."

The interview was conducted over the weekend in anticipation of Queen's performance with Adam Lambert at Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee concert.
