The Roots and Burna Boy to headline AFROPUNK 2022

The festival comes to Downtown Brooklyn’s Commodore Barry Park September 10 and 11.

The organizers of AFROPUNK have revealed the festival’s 2022 lineup, featuring headliners Burna Boy and The Roots. The celebration of Black music is scheduled to take place September 10 and 11 in Downtown Brooklyn’s Commodore Barry Park, its annual home from 2005 through 2019. (Like most major festivals, AFROPUNK was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.) In addition to the marquee acts, this year’s lineup will include Isaiah Rashad, Earl Sweatshirt, Freddie Gibbs, Lucky Daye, Tierra Whack, Bbymutha, Mick Jenkins, Bartees Strange, Pink Siifu, and more.
