Indigo Sparke has announced her second full-length and shared its lead single, “Pressure In My Chest,” along with a video. Hysteria, the follow-up to her 2021 debut Echo, is due out October 7 via Sacred Bones. The album is produced in full by The National’s Aaron Dessner, who has also worked behind the scenes on Taylor Swift‘s last four releases.
The new track is a slow-building, lovesick, five-minute infatuation anthem set to gentle guitar chords, a bedrock bassline, and plodding drums. The track’s visual treatment, directed by Madeline Clayton, finds Sparke slowly waking in a messy room and wandering the halls of a dark apartment that may or may not be her own. Watch it below.
