Coasting on the massive virality of her most recent two singles, “Munch (Feelin’ U)” and “Bikini Bottom,” Ice Spice uploaded a new song titled “In Ha Mood” on Christmas Day, but only to YouTube, captioned “merry christmas ya project otw 🎀.” That video has already racked up a million views, and today (January 6), she’s shared the track to all major digital streaming platforms.
The new song is another tight drill cut with a beat from Ice’s go-to producer, RIOTUSA. Lyrically, she keeps it simple, sticking to the unfiltered swagger that’s won her millions of fans, as well as a very vocal enclave of haters. “In the mirror, I’m doin’ my dance / And he packin’, I know by his pants,” she raps early on. “He a rapper, but don’t got a chance / Stuck in my ways so I’m lovin’ my bands.” It’s no “Munch,” but “In Ha Mood” serves as another small morsel from a 23-year-old Bronx emcee with limitless potential while the listening public waits for a more substantial project.
