03 Greedo has offered an update on his situation following his release from jail last week. While technically out of jail. Greedo confirmed that he is living in a halfway house where he may be until the summer. He told followers in a social media post that he is granted just one phone call a week and plans to spend his time recording a wealth of new material, with plans for multiple projects in the works.
"Yes, I am free from prison but I am still not completely out," Greedo wrote on January 22. "For anyone confused I am in a halfway house for up to 6 months with a five minute phone call a week. Where I am I just want to see my daughter and record music. I wish I could have released alot more music while I was away. So, I have this chip on my shoulder to just go record n drop at least 12 tapes before my major album and I honestly just don't want to talk to alot of people yet. I got a lot I want to clear in my head first."
He added: "So, if I'm not recording with you or laying with you. I'm not inna rush to talk after damn near 5 years. Just being honest! Salute to the GeeHive and all my supporters, I love you. Thank u for keeping me alive while I was incarcerated."
Greedo was released on January 13 after serving five years of a 20-year conviction on drug and weapons charges. A number of mixtapes and albums he recorded prior to entering prison were released during his time inside, most recently Free 03, was released to coincide with the end of his time inside.
