Mandy, Indiana turned plenty of heads with the release of their debut LP, i’ve seen a way, in May. The Manchester, UK-originated, internationally based, industrial-leaning four-piece make music intended to soundtrack the revolution, they told The FADER’s David Renshaw earlier this month.
Today, they’ve returned with visuals for “The Driving Rain (18),” a mid-album standout from the new record. Edited by the group’s producer/guitarist Scott Fair using found anime clips, the clip features the appropriate amount of driving and rain (a lot), sometimes even both at once. It’s the fourth track on the LP to receive a fully fledged video treatment, following short films to accompany “Pinking Shears,” “Drag [Crashed],” and “Injury Detail” (a certified Song You Need).
Along with today’s video, Mandy, Indiana have announced three U.S. shows in December to follow their previously planned summer/fall European tour. They’ll play Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn, The Echo in Los Angeles, and San Francisco’s Brick & Mortar in the space of a week. View their full 2023 live schedule below.
