Slow Pulp announce new album Yard, share lead single “Slugs”

The Chicago-based indie rock foursome will also be touring North America and Europe from October.

Slow Pulp have announced their sophomore record. Yard is the Chicago indie rock foursome's ANTI- debut, featuring the previously released "Cramps" and lead single "Slugs," which is out today. On this track, Emma Massey, Henry Stoehr, Teddy Matthews, and Alex Leeds craft a fuzz-swaddled love song, built from chords that Stoehr originally wrote for his sixth grade crush.

“‘Slugs,’ put simply, is about falling in love in the summertime,” says Massey in a press release. “The song lives in that place where the newness and freshness of getting to know someone turns into a tinge of fear because you realize how much you have come to care about them."

After the release of Yard, Slow Pulp will be hitting the road for an extensive run of shows in North America, U.K., and Europe. The tour kicks off in Milwaukee, WI on October 4, and wraps up more than two months later in Denmark. Check out the rest of the dates — plus the desert road trip video for "Slugs" — below.
