Travis Scott's UTOPIA is part album and part committee of collaborators, with everyone from Beyoncé to Bon Iver among the names who contributed to the mammoth project. When the album was first released last week (July 28) the vocal guests were not listed on platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music (though they were in the album's lengthy credits), leaving fans to piece together who pops up where.

That siutation has changed in the interim period, so "MELTDOWN" has become "MELTDOWN" (feat. Drake) and so on. However, one song is notably unchanged. "THANK GOD" features vocals from rapper and singer KayCyy (that's him on the "Goodbyes, that's life" hook) but, at the time of writing, his name still hasn't been added to the more visible credits.

This hasn't gone without note from the more-eagle-eyed observers online. "Why tf is KayCyy’s feature still hidden?" Twitter user @RihYe_ posted on Thursday. "He literally wrote a large part of it and sings the entire chorus."

KayCyy clearly agreed with that view, replying: "Y’all keep sending me these messages. Y’all kno what I do .. ! I’m not no background singer …. fuck Trav!!!"

Whether this tactic gets KayCyy's name added to the credits or a Travis blacklist remains to be seen. He's clearly feeling underappreciated right now, though.

KayCyy has contributed writing and vocals to Kanye West's more recent material, most notably 2021's Donda. He is also a rapper in his own right and released two EPs with French producer Gesaffelstein. The most recent of these, TW2052, arrived in May.
