When 100 gecs played a Boiler Room set in Los Angeles back in March the duo packed tracks by many of their influences into a wildly energetic set that went immediately viral. That Boiler Room appearance began in inimitable fashion with Dylan Brady and Laura Les debuting their edit of "Where's Your Head At," the indelible 2001 single by U.K. electronic duo Basement Jaxx. Today the remix is getting an official release. Scroll down to listen now.
XL Recordings is releasing the "Where's Your Head At_" remix, both digitally and on an etched 12” vinyl limited to 500 copies. A 100 Jaxx T-shirt has also been created to mark the release of the remix.
100 gecs released their second album, 10,000 Gecs, in March and appeared on The FADER Interview Podcast about the making of their ambitious project. In July the band canceled a European tour, citing exhaustion.
Basement Jaxx's most recent album is 2014's Junto. The duo enjoyed success in the early 2000s with hits including "Red Alert," "Romeo," and "Good Luck."
