"I feel no need to appease anybody," Drake says in the announcement video. "I feel so confident about the body of work that I just dropped that I know I could go and disappear for six months, a year, two years."

He goes on to say his current creative mood is incredibly healthy, the best he says since he released 2015's If You're Reading This It's Too Late. "I feel like I'm on drugs. I feel like I'm in that mental state without doing anything. Who am I to fight it?"

Scary Hours 2 was a three-song EP released in March 2021 and included the Lil Baby collaboration "Wants and Needs." The first Scary Hours came out in 2018.

Earlier this week Drake announced a joint tour with J. Cole. The two will co-headline the It’s All A Blur Tour - Big As The What? tour, which kicks off in January.
