Hayley Williams has released the music video for her new single, “Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party.” Watch it above. The single was one of 17 tracks that were surprise-released last week on a website designed to look like an early-2000s desktop, arriving over four years since Williams’ second album.
Directed by Zachary Gray, the video follows the Paramore singer as she traipses around her hometown of Nashville, driving along a highway with a view of the city skyline before roaming the neon-lit Broadway and dancing next to Tennessee Representative Justin Jones, a member of the state house who faced expulsion for staging a protest in the chamber in support of gun control.
Williams released her debut solo album, Petals for Amor, in 2020, and its follow up, Flowers for Vases / Descansos, in 2021. Since then, she’s been busy leading Paramore, and most recently released the solo song “I Like It I Like It,” featuring Moses Sumney.
