It's been a long and winding road to Lana Del Rey's rumored new album Stove. Since the pop star originally announced the country-inspired project in 2024, it's cycled through several name changes (it was originally called Lasso, then The Right Person Will Stay, and now Stove) and release dates. First it was set to drop in 2025, then May 2025. The latest rumor circulating among fans online is that the project is set to release on January 30, 2026. So, is it true?
The new rumored release date can be traced back to a German music blog called Tonspion, who published an article of upcoming albums and included Stove among its list of projects dropping on January 30. Naturally, fans took this information and ran with it.
The FADER found the article and confirmed that the post doesn't cite any other official sources. As of press time, we can safely say that the January 30 release date is pure speculation.
It's more likely that Tonspion inferred this date from actual, valid information from Lana Del Rey herself, who in an August 2025 interview with W magazine claimed that Stove would be arriving "at the end of January," though never specified a date. Considering the fact that the singer hasn't made a single peep about record since then, it's likely the album won't be coming at the end of January.
While we wait, here's everything we actually know about Stove.
