Plaqueboymax is having a blast at the 2026 GRAMMYs

The streamer turned rapper turned GRAMMY nominee was live on the red carpet.

February 01, 2026

Plaqueboymax was livestreaming from the GRAMMYs 2026 red carpet this year after receiving his first ever nomination. As you might expect, things got a little silly.

He was nominated for "Victory Lap" with fred again... and Skepta in the Best Electronic & Dance Recording category. It might sound like a joke, but the nomination speaks to Max's warp-speed ascent in 2025 from Twitch streamer to pop culture mainstay, even if listeners and critics remain somewhat skeptical. (Personally, I think he should have been nominated last year for "Cooln" with Nino Paid and Babychiefdoit).

Max, fred, and Skepta ultimately didn't win; the award instead went to "End of Summer" by Tame Impala. Max took the loss with good humor, saying on stream, "No rigged comments, you feel me? N***as won fair and square... It happens." It's Kevin Parker's second GRAMMY after winning in the same category last year for "Neverender."
