Katseye got candid about their future plans to go solo in an interview with The Cut.
“We all know that we all have goals beyond Katseye,” Kasteye's Lara Raj tells The Cut's Brooke LaMantia. "And we talk about it a lot with each other, actually. We each have such different styles of music and different tastes." Fellow girl group member Manon Bannerman adds a reflection on lessons learned from the end of One Direction. "When One Direction split, that was really hard,” shares Manon. “I don’t want our fans to go through that. I don’t want to be responsible for breaking so many hearts.”
LaMantia also shares more on the girls' potential solo plans, writing that Daniela Avanzini and Bannerman are interested in acting. She also reports that Sophia Laforteza wants to explore her love of musical theatre and "play Kim in [the musical] 'Miss Saigon.'"
Katseye's members have been open about their individual creative projects since the world watched their formation on Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE on Netflix. For example, Raj has been sharing updates from her work as a producer, and released a remix of Katseye's hit, "Gnarly" featuring Lancey Foux and Slushpuppy.
Bannerman also just shared her acting debut in her friend Sophie Hall-Mochkatel's short film, "Not Bad.
Fans don't need to worry just yet about a full split, though. Bannerman affirmed in the interview with The Cut that “Katseye is going to stay Katseye for a while.”
