London rapper fakemink has been on a stratospheric ascent. The runaway success of "Easter Pink" last year only accelerated the SoundCloud rapper's rising star; now he's gearing up for his sophomore album Terrified, telling British Vogue the record will release "spring 2026."
fakemink says the upcoming record is inspired by Dante's Inferno and entirely self-produced. “I’m engineering the entire album," he said. "Everything from the rhythm to the lyrics, vocal melody and sound design.”
Other highlights from the interview include fakemink saying he's "not neurotypical," dismissing rappers who copy his 2023 debut London's Saviour, and expressing his disgust for synthetic fabrics: "I don’t think anyone should be wearing polyester" (not a fan of Issey Miyake, I presume).
