PinkPantheress knows how to put on a show. Last night at Brooklyn Storehouse, the 25-year-old brought her A Night with Pinkpantheress tour to NYC, and everyone from Tinashe to Oscar Scheller was posted up in the crowd. Here's a quick rundown of everything that happened.
The lineup was stacked.
PinkPantheress has been on tour this spring with Cece Natalie. Last night, they were joined by The FADER's February cover star Rochelle Jordan, electropop sensation underscores, and The Dare, who DJ'd a mix of his best work, including an early preview of Charli XCX's latest single "rock music" (Read our track review here).
Cece slayed
FADER fav Cece Natalie kicked off the night with a solid set that was vocally dialed in. Though she'd received some serious fan backlash over her less-than-extravagant performance style earlier on tour, Natalie and tour DJ Ali RQ seem to have settled into a comfortable rhythm, even if the crowds they're playing to are exponentially bigger than those they played in the fall, opening for Isabella Lovestory. The bassline on "DOMINO" seemed to shake the entire venue like a jet engine.
underscores rocked the hell out
The venue popped even louder for PinkPantheress (naturally), but underscores's performance was unreal. No dancers, no graphics, just the singer on stage, armed with a mic and later, an enormous tube of fluorescent light strapped to her back like angel wings (Cece and Pink also wore wings, but the feathered sort). And the venue was totally losing it for every beat of "Hollywood Forever" and "Tell Me (U Want It)." Following the March release of U, 2026 is shaping up to be underscores's breakout year.
PinkPantheress brought out Kelela to perform "the bridge"
If New York City has an equivalent to Princess Diana, it's probably Kelela. She's been on a ridiculous promotional run for her forthcoming album, and every time she's popped out in public, people lose their damn minds. Point in case: last night the entire venue erupted when they spied her blonde bangs sauntering out to join PinkPantheress.
The screams got even louder when the pair announced they would perform an unreleased collaboration. Based on the lyrics, it seems to be the premiere of "the bridge," off Kelela's upcoming album new avatar out July 10 on Warp Records. Check out the footage below.
