What if Drake had dropped one perfect album?

We took a shot at paring back ICEMAN, HABIBTI, and MAID OF HONOUR to a more manageable listening session.

What if Drake had dropped one perfect album? Drake in the video for "National Treasures."   YouTube.

Drake fans, I get it – the medium is the message and the sprawl is the point. But for casual listeners, more than two hours of music across three albums is a big ask. Which record should they start with? Do they really need to hear every single song?

That’s where we’re humbly stepping in to offer our take on what the HABIBTI/MAID OF HONOUR/ICEMAN tracklist might have looked like if Drake was trying to make a single album rather than three. We kept the time limit to just around 80 minutes, the traditional length on a single CD. With shorter songs like intros and interludes woven in, we fit 24 songs on our disc, though we had to leave behind a few songs we really loved, like “New Bestie” and “Classic,” in service of thematic consistency.
