Goldie traces jungle history in “Jungle Daze” video
His first taste of a new project pairs Natalie Williams with a video walk through jungle’s formative years.
Goldie has marked his return with a video that doubles as a history lesson. Out now for his new single “Jungle Daze,” featuring jazz vocalist Natalie Williams, the Katia Schulz-directed film weaves rare archive footage together with fan-submitted photos, flyers, and memorabilia into a time capsule of jungle and drum & bass in their formative years, tracing the people, places, and energy that carried one of Britain’s most influential movements out across the globe.
The single marks the start of what the drum and bass architect calls “a major new chapter,” with more music promised in the coming months. It’s also a return to Goldie’s roots, and one of the best things he’s put out in sometime. Williams, who also featured on Goldie’s 2017 single “I Adore You” from The Journey Man, threads her voice through a production that shifts from a rush of time-stretched breaks to a wider, cinematic sweep, recalling the sounds of the ’90s without settling into nostalgia.
“It’s great with all these young ones getting into the original vibe we made so long ago just wanted to remind them where it comes from... we lived it and they breathe it,” Goldie said of the single. “It’s also about looking back and reflecting on the impact of jungle DnB music. We became the Motown of our generation.”

Goldie has a run of shows lined up too. On November 14, he brings Dare To Dream, a one-off orchestral production, to London’s Royal Festival Hall as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival. Staged across two performances, it will see him joined by the Elysian Collective, a choir, and special guests, with the artist expected to premiere unreleased music including “Jungle Daze.”
