Here’s how you can watch Oliver Tree’s celebration of life
Diplo, Logan Paul, and Ethan Paul will speak at the memorial in UC Santa Cruz.
A celebration of life for Oliver Tree will be held on Saturday, July 25 at the Quarry Amphitheater at UC Santa Cruz, the artist's hometown campus. The service will stream live on his Twitch and YouTube channels beginning at 7:30 p.m. PT (10:30 p.m. ET), and the program is scheduled to run until 10:30 p.m. PT.
In-person space is limited to family, close friends, and invited guests, which is why Tree's family opted to stream the service. Remaining tickets are available at olivertree.live, and organizers have asked that people not travel to campus without one. Further details are on the flyer posted to Tree's Instagram.
Logan Paul, Diplo, Ethan Klein, and Aaron Mercury are listed as guest speakers, alongside other friends and family. The program will include live music, unreleased video content, tribute videos, and a separate casket for each of Tree's characters.
Tree, born Oliver Tree Nickell, died on June 14 at the age of 32, when two helicopters collided midair in Rio de Janeiro. He was traveling South America on his World's First World Tour. The five others killed were passengers Lucas Vignale, Gaspar Prim, and Lucas Brito Chaves, and pilots Alexandre Souza and Charles Marsillac.
Proceeds from the event go to Dr. Oliver Tree's Extremely Epic Art Grant for Baby Geniuses, a foundation his family established according to his wishes to fund emerging artists.
