Perhaps one of the perks of being a celebrity is that if you ever want to take up a new skill you can just hit up the experts. That's what Gunna did for the making of the music video behind his latest single "Pop It," which sees him hitting the courts with none other than tennis extraordinaire Coco Gauff.
“Gunna has been wanting to get into tennis, so for this video, we thought, why not just learn from the best and make it a reality," director Spike Jordan of The Genius Club tells The FADER of the shoot over email. "That’s really what this whole day was about. Having fun, trying something new and letting the world around just exist."
That's just the visual's starting point which sees Gunna flying international to beaches and mansions and villas abroad while decked out in a rolodex of expensive suits from Miu Miu to Bottega Veneta (the video is impeccably styled by Bobby Wesley Williams and Jenna Tyson). The single is Gunna's first solo release since 2025's The Last Wun and marks a new chapter in his career as his debut release on his own label, SB THE LABEL, in partnership with Atlantic Records.
"SB THE LABEL represents the beginning of a new chapter for me. It only felt right to start that chapter alongside my brothers Casper Bluff, Nechie, and Dracc, who are the first artists signed to the label. For me, this is about stepping into a new role, expanding what I can create, and building something that represents where I’m headed next," Gunna said of the new endeavor in an email to The FADER.
There's no word yet on if a project is coming soon but for now, watch the video for "Pop It," below, and check out some photos from the shoot.
